Georgetown Loop RR Special Events During the 2012 season, the Georgetown Loop Railroad will offer many unique train rides that combine the thrill of "ridin' the rails" with outstanding culinary opportunities. Many of these special excursions will occur as the sun sets slowly over the Continental Divide and the stars come out to play. If you want to celebrate an anniversary, a birthday, an engagement or just enjoy a unique soiree in the Rocky Mountains, consider one or more of the following avenues for adventure! "Moonlight in the Mountains Dinner Train" is a catered casual dinner experience, with a choice of four different entrees, at either the Devil's Gate Depot above Georgetown or aboard the train itself as it travels high above Clear Creek Canyon (dependent upon weather.) In 2011, Wednesday nights are Family Dinner Trains with five different entrees to choose from, including salmon, pork loin, chicken cordon bleu, New York strip and vegetarian selections. Friday and Saturday's evening trains are Lobster and Steak. You can choose between a combination surf and turf special or an all steak dinner. The Prime Rib and Jumbo Shrimp Train is a delightful feast for those who want the best of everything! These casual dinners divide the mountain beauty of dusk and dark into two divergent experiences. These vintages will be matched with a selection of delicious accompaniments and snacks to please your palate while enjoying the beautiful view of Clear Creek Canton, Best of all, your taste buds will be tantalized while sitting in the enclosed coaches atop Devil's Gate High Bridge over the surging waters of Clear Creek! In the tradition of railroad fine dining, parties of 2 may be seated with another couple. 99.99% of our guests enjoy their time meeting fellow rail fans. However, if you would like a private table, such arrangements can be made for an extra charge. When seated with another couple, you and your guest will be seated on the same side of the table. Larger groups will be seated at adjacent tables.
